Notice of Annual General Meeting- 26 October 2010

The Annual General Meeting will be held at Werribee Park National Equestrian Centre, 170 K Rd at 7:00pm, 26th October, in the Old Administration Building.

Equestrian Victoria Board and Branch members invite all current Equestrian Victoria members to attend.

Positions which are up for re-election are:

-Ordinary member three positions, term of office expired are: Jan Smith, Neil Clinton and Peter Gardiner.

-Constituent member four positions, terms of office expired are: Berwick Dressage Club (Jo Flood), MSJC (Reg Cleland), YVDC (Kim Anning)

Invitations are extended for Ordinary Members to nominate for the three Ordinary Member positions that will become vacant and for Constituent Members to nominate for the four Constituent Member positions that will become vacant.

Business to be conducted at the Annual General Meeting will be

1. Confirm the minutes of the last preceding Annual General Meeting.

2. Receive from the Board, reports upon the transactions of the Association during the last preceding year;

3. Appoint an auditor for the next financial period;

4. Elect Members of the Branch Committee;

5. Receive and consider the financial statements of the Association; and

6. Any other special business (if any) notified in accordance with the Rules.

2010 SADDLEWORLD DRESSAGE FESTIVAL SCHEDULE AVAILABLE

The entry schedule for this year’s Saddleworld Dressage Festival is now available and can be downloaded from www.vicequestrian.org.au

Held at the Werribee Park National Equestrian Centre from December 9 -12, the Festival incorporates the Victorian Dressage Championships for all levels from Preliminary to Grand Prix, pony classes from Preliminary to Medium, and young horse qualifiers for competitors looking ahead to next year’s PSI DJWTS.

This year’s Festival again includes two feature events. The highly coveted Marcus Oldham Aachen Challenge for young riders aged 16-25years and the Pacific League World Cup Final which provides the winner with the opportunity to represent Australia at the World Cup Final in Leipzig, Germany in April 2011.

Entries will close on Wednesday 27^th October.
