Equestrian Victoria Eventing Chair, Janet Houghton said that the extension of the Off The Track Program to EV’s affiliated Horse Trials showed the tremendous role Eventing plays in providing a second career to thoroughbreds. “Through our events we can help to showcase the versatility of thoroughbreds. The sponsorship from OTT helps to support our organising committees as well rewarding the riders who have created great partnerships with their horses”.

Racing Victoria’s Equine Welfare Coordinator Lauren Moor said RV is pleased to continue the partnership with EV.

“The extended partnership between RV and EV is a great chance to increase the Off The Track (OTT) presence at events across the state.

“Off The Track thoroughbreds excel in a range of disciplines and our aim is to drive the demand for the breed as performance and pleasure horses.

“The Off The Track program was created to educate the community about various life after racing options, versatility of use, and the appropriate care and retraining of the thoroughbred, and the partnership with EV allows us to do that to a wider and more varied demographic.”

Matthew Brown Equestrian Victoria CEO thanked Racing Victoria for their ongoing support and commitment to EV as the governing body for equestrian sport “it is with these valued industry supporters that we are able to continue to deliver first class local and regional events”
