Jumping Victoria August/September 2016

It has been a great inspiration recently to watch the riders competing at the Rio Olympics, congratulations to our jumping team Matt Williams, James Paterson-Robinson, Edwina Tops-Alexander and Scott Keach.

Spring is finally here after a long wet winter and the Victorian jumping season is off to a fabulous start with Geelong, Border District and Tatura shows having great entries in August.

AUSTRALIAN SHOWJUMPING CHAMPIONSHIPS

Jumping Enthusiasts mark the 15-18 September dates in your diary for the jumping extravaganza event in Victoria, the Australian Showjumping Championships. The committee has done an amazing job making this a must see event! For further information go to www.asjc.com.au

MEMBERSHIP RENEWALS

Just a reminder for members competing in the upcoming months, please ensure you have renewed your membership, membership renewals were due on 1st July 2016.  Also for horses competing in official jumping classes 1.05m and above, it is a requirement to post the jumping cards to the EV office for revalidation.  Event organisers and judges will be checking cards to ensure they have been revalidated before prize money is distributed.

LEADERBOARD - HORSE OF THE YEAR 2017

TRAINING CLINICS

Jumping Victoria successfully hosted numerous training clinics for officials over winter.  This was very beneficial to our Course Designers, Judges and Stewards accrediting and reaccrediting.  I would like to thank our trainers Kevin Taranto, Anne Garner, Annie White, Chris Wallis, Brian Lavery and Garry Baxter.

SQUADS

Finally, I would like to thank our coaches for training our State, Development and Squadette members over winter.  It is great to see the development of riders and their horses over the winter training program.  Thank you to Gavin Chester, Paul Williams, Adam Wootten, Jamie Murray, Jess Barton, Tonya Holdsworth-Rose, Lisa Hocking and Gael Sampson.
