Ridley Barastoc backs local Equestrian Club

The newly formed Elmore Equestrian Club has formed an ongoing

partnership with stock feed manufacturer Ridley Barastoc.  Ridley Barastoc which has a major foot print in Northern Victoria and is well known for its horse feed range has become the Club’s first corporate sponsor.  Ridley Barastoc has recognized the importance of forming alliances with grass roots organisations, and will continue to support the equine world with its individual sponsorship and the high profile show, Barastoc Horse of the Year as well as local events.

The Elmore Equestrian Club is excited to be hosting its first competition at Elmore Equestrian Park on April 16th.   The inaugural Dressage Championships sponsored by Horseland Bendigo and Ridley Barastoc will offer  EA classes from Preliminary to Advancesd including a separate section for ponies, will be followed by another dressage competition which incorporates Interschool dressage on Sunday May 22nd.  The event in May will be preceded by a dressage event hosted by Rich River Equestrian Club on the Saturday May 21st.  In a first for Victoria an overall competition combing the results of those who compete in both the HCAV and EA sections will be run over the two days.  Spokesperson for the club, Glenda Castles, explained that the unique concept is to encourage HRCAV members to join EA and ‘have a go” at stepping outside their comfort zone.  The Club hopes that the many great prizes on offer will tempt riders to enter both days.

The Committee of the Elmore Equestrian Club has also begun planning the Elmore Equestrian Expo a multi-faceted event which is to be held on August 13th and 14th.  This will be an exciting event and will include clinics by top instructors, demonstrations, informative talks and a huge second hand sale to be held in the indoor arena at night.  An event to appeal to all equestrian enthusiasts.

A third dressage competition is planned for September.  The following year 2017 is already looking exciting with a stand-alone Interschool event recently approved by Equestrian Victoria, as well as the three dressage competitions.  In the future, it is planned to expand the range of competitions to include all the Olympic disciplines.   Anyone interested in learning more about the Club can visit the facebook page where they will find membership forms and details on how to enter forthcoming competitions.
