CROSS COUNTRY COURSE:       
The Hexham course is set well back from the nearest road covering a range of terrain from open paddock to river bank with a ‘point’ area offering that ‘away from everything’ feeling of peace and quiet nestled in the bend of the river.  The course has been designed to offer some technical challenges and the newly constructed water jump offers a wide expanse of water to get through with the addition of two water filled ditches.

1. EvA105.5  # ENTRY FEE: $95
  Dressage Test 2015 A 1* test  
Prizes: Rug 1st Place, cash prize to 3rd and rosettes to 8th  
2. EvA105 ENTRY FEE: $90
  Dressage Test: EvA105 Test 2 (2016)
Prizes: Rug 1st Place, cash prize to 3rd and rosettes to 8th
3. EvA95 ENTRY FEE: $85
  Dressage Test: EvA80 & EvA95 Test 3 (2016)
Prizes: Rug 1st Place and rosettes to 8th
4. EvA80 ENTRY FEE: $80
  Dressage Test: EvA80 & EvA95 Test 2 (2016)
Prizes: Rug 1st Place and rosettes to 8th
5. Ev65 ENTRY FEE: $75
  Dressage Test: EvA80 & EvA95 Test 1 (2016)
  Prizes: Rug 1st Place and rosettes to 8th
         

# One star dressage and showjumping, 105 cross-country. A 105 MER applies to results meeting current requirements as set out in EA rules.

A minimum of one prize shall be awarded for every four competitors

Prize money is dependent on sponsorship

It is the committee policy for this event that entry fees and the Victorian event levy are non-refundable after the close of entries. All other costs will be refunded provided scratchings are notified prior to the commencement of the event. Full refund prior to close of entries.

PROVISIONAL TIMETABLE:       
All dressage and some showjumping to take place on Saturday.  All cross county and remaining showjumping on Sunday, depending on the number of entries received. If there are less than 150 entries the event will become an ODE on the Sunday only.

GEAR CHECK:                                                 
Onus on rider. If you’re not sure ask an official, as incorrect gear will result in elimination.

NUMBER OF RIDES PER CLASS:        
No limit if classes permit.

HORSE SUBSTITUTION:             
At event secretary’s discretion

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:               

  • Enter on Nominate only. Entry fee does not include the $25 Victorian Event levy that is also payable.
  • Riders competing at Ev65 are not required to be competitive members of the EA, nor horses required to be registered with EA. However, riders must be members of the HRCAV OR PCV OR EA participant level members. HRCAV and PCV members must not ride at a level above their graded level and must produce their membership and performance/grading cards to the OC on the first day of competition before riding their dressage test.
  • Riders competing at EvA80 are required to be either competitive or participant members of EA, as this is an official event.
  • Riders competing at EvA95 and above must be competitive members of EA, and horses are required to have full EA registration with a current Eventing competition licence.
  • Please refer to EA Eventing rules for further information regarding entry requirements.

STARTING TIMES:                          
Will be posted on Nominate at www.nominate.com.au

GENERAL CONDITIONS:                              

  • DOGS MUST BE ON LEADS AT ALL TIMES.
  • All riders must comply with EA rules.
  • Back number holders and Body Protectors are required for the Cross Country phase. 
  • All riders should have ambulance cover.
  • GSCEA accepts no responsibility for costs incurred with ambulance call out to injured riders.

INSPECTION OF X-COUNTRY:    
2pm Saturday on approval of TD, will be announced on the PA

STABLING:         
38 yards are available at $20 for the weekend on a first in basis
Portable yards must comply with EA guidelines. No tape yards. Fodder & bedding is the responsibility of competitors.

CAMPING:         
No powered sites available, shower and toilet facilities on site, camping fee of $10 for the weekend

ACCOMMODATION:        
Very limited options in Mortlake, which is 15min from the venue

CATERING:                         

  • Catering will be available over the weekend.
  • Saturday night BBQ is being offered, as there are limited dining options in nearby towns.
  • $15pp including soft drink, tea/coffee. MUST be booked with entries.
  • Please indicate any dietary requirements (eg. vegetarian, gluten free) with entries.

PRESENTATIONS:                            

  • Unmounted, correct attire, first place horse required in hand.
  • No posting of prizes to those not present at presentations.

All classes run subject to sufficient entries. The organising committee has the right to change, alter and delete the program as required. Neither the organising committee, Great South Coast Eventing Association Inc. (A0058726D), the Hexham Equestrian Centre, the landowners or EA accept any responsibility whatsoever for any accident, damage or illness to horses, riders and spectators or any other person or property
