Young Rider Squads and Development Program

About the Program

The Dressage Victoria Young Rider Squads and Development Program provides innovative training options for young riders.

Catering for dressage riders of all levels and from ages 8 (on ponies) to 25 years, the program incorporates the official Victorian Youth High Performance A Squad, together with the B & C Squads and the very popular Development Program. The aim is to provide riders with high-quality coaching both on and off their horses together with the chance to have a lot of fun and form friendships for life.

The aim of the program is to help riders develop training and competition knowledge and skills and further their development as an athlete. Riders of all levels are welcome. For the Development Program, the only requirement is current EV membership, horses do not have to be registered and no performances are required. For the A, B & C Squads, official performances are required.

Congratulations to our Victorian Dressage Young Rider Squad members on their selection!

We look forward to seeing them at our first squad happening October 11-12 at WPNEC.

All riders have been emailed their letter of acceptance and a link to book into the weekend squad.

Please note: The Young Rider Squad will have a further EOI at the end of January, this will give riders who have just missed out on being in a higher squad level the opportunity to get some scores over the coming months and for riders who did not apply to do so in this next intake.
