Nomination for Victorian Jumping Young Rider of the Year Selector 2019

The Victorian Jumping Young Rider of the Year Selection Panel is being formed for one calendar year. 

The Selection Panels function is to select the best Young Rider (consistent with clause 2.1.2 of the Young Rider of the Year Selection Policy and Procedure) and to perform the associated tasks confidentially, impartially, independently and autonomously without interference or influence from the sport discipline committees or any other source.

• Participate in, in person interview(s) with the Finalists. 
• Attend the Young Rider Finalist Training Squad. 

Position Criteria

Selectors must be Equestrian Victoria members with the ability to meet the following criteria:

• Possess an ability to analyse equestrian competition performance data. 
• Ability to work autonomously whilst being part of a team. 
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels. 
• Possess attention to detail.
• Willing to be accountable for their actions, and prepared to justify tough decisions.
• Prepared to make hard, yet fair, decisions and prepared to convey those decisions to the people affected.
• Must hold a Working with Children’s Check
• Must be able to attend the Young Rider Finalist Squad held at Werribee Park 29^thand 30^thof June.
• Must be able to conduct interviews with the Top Three Finalists on the 20 July location TBC.

These positions are open to any interest persons, (including but not restricted to), current athletes, past athletes, officials, event administrators and past selectors. 

Applications will close on the 31^stof May at 5pm. 

The Jumping Victoria committee will appoint the selectors after the 31^stof May. Only the successful applicants will be contacted after this date.
