JODIE McKEONE INDUCTED INTO THE EQUESTRIAN VICTORIA HALL OF FAME

At Friday night’s 2026 Equestrian Victoria Annual Awards, we were honoured to induct Jodie McKeone into the Equestrian Victoria Hall of Fame.

Jodie was an extraordinary Australian para-driving pioneer. Australia’s first FEI-classified para driver and the first Australian representative at a Para Driving World Championship, she kept showing up with courage, skill and extraordinary resolve.

Knowledgeable, practical and brave, Jodie was deeply committed to her horses and passionate about seeing harness driving grow. Her ambition was never only about her own results. She was generous with her knowledge, gracious in encouraging others and a friend to many. Unassuming and warm, with a wonderful sense of humour, Jodie made a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

A horsewoman and a fighter to the end, Jodie’s contribution to our sport was extraordinary. Her legacy will continue to inspire and be felt for generations to come.

Jodie passed away recently, making this recognition all the more poignant. We remember and celebrate her remarkable life, her achievements and the lasting contribution she made to our sport.

Our thoughts remain with Jodie’s husband, Jason, her sons, Jesse, Jake and Justin, and all those who loved and admired her.

Congratulations, Jodie. Your place in the Equestrian Victoria Hall of Fame is richly deserved.
