Stewarding Course for All Disciplines - September 2021

Stewarding is rewarding role working in a team with officials and organising committees to assist riders to compete on a level playing field and ensuring welfare of the horse is paramount.

EV are running a 2 day seminar for anyone interested in becoming an EA accredited steward or for those wishing to learn about stewarding. Included will be generic stewarding principles for all disciplines and also discipline specific content.

Role of EA/FEI Stewards

To protect the welfare of the horse, ensure fair play for all competitors and support the Organising Committee (OC) in the successful running of the event in line with the EA/FEI rules and regulations.

The stewards’ principal aim is to endeavour to ensure that competitors participating in events do so with the utmost respect for their horses, officials, the public, their fellow competitors and all those involved in the sport.
