A busy first few months for Eventing Victoria:

• A successful Development Squad Clinic was run at WPNEC on 19 & 20 January
• The first Prydes Senior and Equissage Young Rider Squad will be held this weekend (2 & 3 February) at WPNECWe also welcome Vanessa Mattiazzo who will take over management and timetabling of the eventing squads from Janet - she already has a program and strategy developed for the next 12 months!
• We will be running a Risk Management Seminar for Event Organising Committees this weekend (2 February), which gives organisers a chance to network with other event committees and will bring them up to date with rule changes, risk and incident management strategies and plans plan ahead for the next eventing season.
• Pakenham and Geelong Horse Trials kick of this year's season with their events being held in February
• New Eventing Dressage tests have been published to coincide with the class levels so riders should make sure they check carefully, which tests are being used at each event. For the first couple of months, old tests can be used but all events should be using the new tests within 3 months.
