COVID:19 UPDATE. RESTRICTED POSTCODES

Firstly, ‘Thank-You’ to each of our members for working so hard to keep the wider community safe.

At midnight last night the latest restrictions as implemented by the Victorian State Government regarding restricted ‘Hotspot’ suburb postcodes came into effect. The state government has advised that if you live within the postcodes below, you must stay at home.  The restricted suburbs are:

  • 3038 Keilor Downs, Keilor Lodge, Taylors Lakes, Watergardens
  • 3021 Albanvale, Kealba, Kings Park, St Albans
  • 3012 Brooklyn, Kingsville, Maidstone, Tottenham, West Footscray
  • 3042 Airport West, Keilor Park, Niddrie, Niddrie North
  • 3064 Craigieburn, Donnybrook, Mickleham, Roxburgh Park, Kalkallo
  • 3047 Broadmeadows, Dallas, Jacana
  • 3060 Fawkner
  • 3032 Ascot Vale, Highpoint City, Maribyrnong, Travancore
  • 3046 Glenroy, Hadfield, Oak Park
  • 3055 Brunswick South, Brunswick West, Moonee Vale, Moreland West

There are only four reasons that you can leave home:

  1. Shopping for food or other essential items.
  2. To provide care giving, for compassionate reasons or to seek medical treatment.
  3. For exercise (outdoor exercise only, with only one other person or members of your household).
  4. Work or study, if you cannot work or study from home.

IMPORTANT:

  1. Community sport training and competition cannot occur within a restricted postcode.
  2. If you live in an impacted area you cannot participate in community sport elsewhere
  3. For events and equestrian activity being conducted outside of the restricted postcodes you must not allow members or visitors to attend your club who reside from within the restricted postcode suburbs.

All other equestrian activity and competition can occur as long as such activity follows Equestrian Victoria’s Covid-19 Return to Riding Plan.

Further information, including the full list of restricted activities, can be found on the DHHS Coronavirus website: https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/new-restrictions-melbournes-hot-zones-covid-19
