A Return to Structured Coach Education 2021

The last year has been a difficult one for everyone wanting to conduct and participate in structured Coach Education.

The Victorian Coaching Committee are pleased to announce the return to Covid safe Training Days.

2 DAY TRAIN TO TEACH WORKSHOP

Date: 6th-7th April

Where: Werribee Park National Equestrian Centre

Cost: $440 for two days (includes lunch, morning tea & afternoon tea).

The first day is aimed at coach candidates that have completed the Introductory Riding and Horse Management certificates and other pre-requisites for Introductory Coach.
The second day is aimed at Introductory and above levels wanting to commence or continue assessment sign offs.
Other levels may be accommodated if required.

  • Day 1 - morning 4 hr Compulsory Face to Face Introductory presentation
  • Day 1 - afternoon Introductory Lesson Planning, written paper and marking
  • Day 2 - morning Demonstration of group teaching, Coach Observations, Teaching practice
  • Day 2 - afternoon Coach candidates teaching Practice groups

On day 2 demonstration riders will be required.  So coach candidates would ride for each other. This is an opportunity for riders wanting riding components of certificates to be assessed.
We do need demonstration riders to make this day work.

This workshop is during school holidays and you may know of suitable riders that would like to attend as demonstration riders so please share this information.
We look forward to welcoming coach candidates back to a structured education system. By attending this type of workshop friendship and mentoring groups do develop which is helpful for ongoing training and assessment.
