Express Junior Permission Form

Complete Form Online

If you are a junior rider (ie if you are not turning 18 in the current year) and you wish to compete in National and FEI 1* or 2* classes, you must apply for express permission from the National Eventing Committee (NEC).

The minimum qualifications required by Equestrian Australia to compete at 1* level are 3 x EvA105 MERs (or 2 x 105 MERS and one Pony Club Grade 1 [or Championship] competition). Two of these results must be clear of cross-country jump penalties. Please see the Eventing Rules 2018 P45 and Rule 503.2 for more information

However, in order to ensure that combinations are sufficiently experienced, the Victorian Eventing Committee and the NEC will require you to have successfully completed a minimum of 5 EvA105 events (which may include 1 or 2 Grade 1 Pony Club results).

From February 2018, application for Express Permission can only be done by completing and submitting the form below. Eventing Victoria will review the application and forward to the NEC for consideration if the sub-committee believes the combination is capable and confident to progress to 1* (or 2* if applicable).

If you are unsure what it all means and have lots of questions, you are welcome to call Janet Houghton (Chair of Eventing Victoria) on 0419 003 068.
