PARTICIPANT REFUNDS 2020 PSI DRESSAGE & JUMPING WITH THE STARS & JUMPING VICTORIA STATE TITLES

20 March 2020

Equestrian Victoria’s (EV) first priority is the safety of our members and our community. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all the support you, our members, have shown us during these challenging times.

The cancellation of marquee events such as the PSI Dressage and Jumping with the Stars and Victorian Jumping Titles, while distressing, was the correct decision and as we continue to watch the situation unfold there is peace of mind knowing that we have not contributed to the ongoing health crisis. Hopefully we will be back to business soon.

In the meantime, Equestrian Victoria has been working with our various stakeholders, event directors and organising committees to minimise the potentially immense impact that the cancellation of significant events can have.

Earlier today the Equestrian Victoria Board approved the following recommendation:

That consistent with the Refund and Cancellation Policies found within the Terms and Conditions of the 2020 Dressage and Jumping with the Stars and Victorian Jumping Titles, participants will receive a full refund of all Entry fees, including Administration Fees, Camping, Stabling, Yard, Cleaning and Facility Fees (as applicable) less 10%.

Refunds will begin to be processed the week of 23 March and we anticipate all will be processed by Friday 27 March. Refunds for ticket sales, Traders and Masterclass Bookings will also be processed next week, less a 5% processing fee.

Once again, we’d like to thank you for your patience and your support, at the same time we continue to encourage the EV Membership to act responsibly and to stay at home. If you feel unwell and seek medical advice if you have symptoms such as a runny nose, fever, cough, sore throat, breathing difficulties or have been in contact with someone that has COVID-19.

If you have come into contact with someone who has the virus or you are concerned you may be infected, please call the Coronavirus Hotline on 1800 675 398.

Health experts advise the best way to protect yourself from coronavirus is to pay attention to good hand hygiene and good respiratory hygiene, by:

  • Washing hands often with soap and running water, for at least 20 seconds. Dry with paper towel or hand dryer.
  • Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. If you don’t have a tissue, cough or sneeze into your upper sleeve or elbow.
  • Try not to touch your eyes, nose or mouth.

The Board and Management of Equestrian Victoria will continue work with our clubs and affiliate bodies on measures to assist them during this challenging period and we will provide ongoing updates as new information becomes available.

Equestrian sport in Victoria is in a strong position with a focus on continual improvement for great experiences. We look forward to resuming the delivery of successful events where our members can enjoy the opportunity to live their equestrian dream.
