The EV Show Horse Committee is excited to announce that Barastoc Horse of the Year will take place on 14 and 15 February 2015 under a new and revised format, and will now proudly host Victoria’s National qualifying classes. Schedules will be released at the end of November with entries closing on 2 January 2015.
After much consideration of the current status of the event, carrying a $19,000 deficit recorded in 2014, it has been deemed necessary to reduce the program to two days, whilst focusing on delivering an exciting program for all competitors. The Barastoc Sub-Committee are thrilled with the way that the schedule is shaping up and they will be working to deliver a high quality competitor friendly event for our members. The Barastoc Sub-Committee consists of Elizabeth Porter, Helen Heagney, Megan Somerville and Anne Marie King.
We are also very excited to announce a brand new event in 2015 to feature Championship classes for our amateur owner riders. This event will be held on the weekend of 14 and 15 March 2015. More details will be released in the coming month and we would like to encourage people to actively get involved in assisting in the coordination of this event, to ensure it is a success for all competitors in the show horse discipline.
