Showjumping - 11 June
The showjumping phase saw the changes of fortunes and placings.
Christopher Burton and Walk the Line finished in first place in the IRT CCI* class. Heath Ryan and Mystery Whisper came in second and Analisa Hegyesi in third.
The CCI* Junior class was won by Naomi Mays and Mayfield Dante. Second place went to Shay Smith and Hitmonchan and third place Evan Pettigrove and Wallington Park Birchwood.
The CCI** was taken out by Emma Scott and Mustang, who held first place after each phase, finishing on her dressage score of 49.4. Second place was awarded to Will Enzinger and ESB Irish Endeavour and Sally Morrison on In Your Dreams held onto the third position after all phases.
Wendy Schaeffer was very successful in the CCI*** taking out first place with Koyuna Sun Dancer and third place with Koyuna Sun Shine. Second place was awarded to Blair Richardson and Maximum Overkill.
The CIC-W*** World Cup class went to Natalie Siiankoski and Kolora Stud Archie who finished on their dressage score of 55. The combination moved up from 6th place after the dressage. Kevin McNab and Hufflepuff slipped from the lead to second place after the showjumping with 60.4 penalties. Ali Foye and Bondir moved up to third place to finish on 64.8 penalties.

State Teams Competition
Cross Country Day - 10 June
We were been blessed with fabulous weather for Cross Country Day - cool but fine...and no Werribee Wind!!!! It was a lovely day in the Werribee Park Equestrian Centre Grounds and Mansion Gardens. The spectacle and excitement of the cross country phase was enjoyed by several thousand spectators.
Over 200 guests enjoyed the great hospitality provided by Club Equus in the Equimax Gold Pass Marquee, strategically positioned to give spectacular views of the Horseland Water Complex.
The placings and scores in the CCI* remain unchanged after the cross country. Heath Ryan and Mystery Whisper are still in the lead, followed by Amanada Howell and TS Cooper and in third place Christopher Burton and Walk the Line. All 3 combinations remained on their dressage scores, incurring no jumping or time penalties.
The three leaders in the CCI* Junior also incurred no jumping or time faults on the cross country course. Still in first place is Anthea Buckland and Freedom Up Over remaining on 51.4. Evan Pettigrove and Wallington Park Birchwood remain in second position on 52.6 penalties. Moving from 6th to 3rd place is Chloe James and RL Sir William.
Again the placings in the CCI** remain the same after cross country, with the 1st to 3rd place holders incurring no penalty points on the cross country course. Emma Scott and Mustang remain on 49.4, Emma Mason and F1 Pharinelli on 49.8 and Sally Morrison and In Your Dreams on 51.8.
Ten competitors from the CCI*** went clear and under time. Now leading the field we have Emma Dougall and Dotcom who remains on her dressage score of 46.7. Following in second and third place, also remaining on their dressage scores, are Blair Richardson and Maximum Overkill on 48.1, and Wendy Schaeffer on Koyuna Sun Dancer on 49.2.
The CIC-W*** saw some changes in fortunes and placings - and a few wet riders!! After the cross country phase Kevin McNab and Hufflepuff are now in the lead, followed by Natalie Siiankoski and Kolora Stud Archie and then Emma Armstrong and Voortrekker. Only 8 of 12 competitors continue through to the showjumping phase.

Volunteers
It takes several hundred volunteers to run the cross country phase of a three day event - from spectator managers to jump judges to time keepers to the Technical Delegates and Vets and many more. Our trusty crew of volunteers were here are the crack of dawn, and many spent a long day out in the field. At the completion of competition they came back in to the officials and volunteers marquee to enjoy some much deserved hot food and drinks!! Many thanks are due to all helpers who give up their precious time for the good of our sport.
Dressage 8-9 June
Heath Ryan and Mystery Whisper are leading the CCI* on 44.3 penalties, followed fairly closely by Amanda Howell on TS Cooper on 45.5 penalties and Christopher Burton and Walk the Line on 45.7.
The Junior CCI* is being led by Anthea Buckland on Freedom Up Over with 51.4 penalty points. Second place is Evan Pettigrove on Wallington Park Birchwood with 52.6 penalties and third place is Taran Proctor and Eion Flux with 53.8 penalty points.
Emma Scott and Mustang lead the CCI** on 49.4 penalties. They are followed by Emma Mason and F1 Pharinelli on 49.8 and coming in third is Sally Morrison and In Your Dreams on 51.8.
The CCI*** leader is Janelle Pitts and Mr Showoff on 44.2 penalty points. Second place is held by Emma Dougall and Dotcom with 46.7. Third place is Georgia Clifford and It's Monty with 47.1 penalty points.
The World Cup Class (CIC-W***) is being led by Olivia Bunn and GV Bullwinkle out in front on 47.7 penalty points. Kevin McNab and Hufflepuff follow on 49, with Shane Rose and Statford Novalis coming in third place with 50.4 penalty points.
The NSW Institute of Sport team are currently leading the National Teams compeition on 139.4 collective penalties. The composite Qld/Tasmania Blue team are in second place with 147.2 penalities, followed by NSW with 152.3 penalty points.

Indoor Trade Village & Food Court
This year the indoor trade village was be bigger and better than ever, and incorporated indoor catering and food court area. Nearly 1,000 square metres of undercover shopping and hospitality. There will be up to 50 different exhibitors on site, along with a variety of caterers including espresso coffee, wood fired pizza and dutch pancakes along with all the Werribee Park regulars. Sit indoors out of the weather to enjoy your hot lunch and coffee!!
