EQUESTRIAN VICTORIA WELCOMES PROPOSED EA CONSTITUTION CHANGES

Last Thursday (13 August) Equestrian Victoria (EV) communicated to the membership that it had, in conjunction with other state branches, been working positively with KordaMentha to achieve the outcomes required under the KordaMentha Deed of Company Arrangement (DOCA), including delivering "one member one vote".

We are pleased to advise that yesterday KordaMentha (KM) circulated to all creditors and members a copy of the Company’s (Equestrian Australia) constitution, marked up with amendments.

KM have clarified that the updated proposed amendments to the EA constitution satisfy the terms and obligations of the Deed of Company Agreement (DOCA), including delivering “one member, one vote”.

Subject to the State Branches support the approval of the proposed EA constitution will mean that EA will not be placed into liquidation.

The Equestrian Victoria Board will support the proposed amendments at the forthcoming SGM and looks forward to working with the new EA Interim Board for the good of Equestrian Sport.

Also attached for download are the results of the recent EV member survey for your information. We would have liked to have published this earlier but COVID communications have taken precedence.
