Equestrian Victoria (EV) is the peak body for horse sports in Victoria and is the state body of Equestrian Australia and is affiliated with the Federation Equestre Internationale (FEI). As a non-profit state sporting organisation EV is an incorporated association whose members include individual members, affiliated clubs, life members, coaches and officials.

The discipline of Eventing is a key sport with large participation across demographic and location in metropolitan and regional Victoria and operates largely through the support of voluntary Organising Committees and the Victorian Eventing Sub-Committee.

Primary Purpose
To support the administration, communication and ongoing compliance of the Eventing safety requirements of competitions held through Equestrian Victoria’s (EV) including tasks but not limited to completing documentation, support of all stakeholders in the Organising Committees and EV Administration teams as it pertains to event safety requirements, co-ordination and completion of the required safety items (see PD) for events to adhere to policy.

This position works closely with the individual Organising Committees for Eventing, Equestrian Victoria stakeholders and external groups associated with the provision of medical and safety services to competitions and provides a diverse and stimulating opportunity for a motivated individual.

Major Activities

  • Facilitating the completion of the required Risk Management Plans and Safety Forms for Organising Committees & Equestrian Victoria
  • Support for the Organising Committees with the administration of safety bookings, specifications including required documentation and communication with stakeholders and publication of these items
  • Adhere to Organising Committee and Equestrian Victoria timeframes and deliverables including communication and project management approach to support future areas for development
  • Where required travel to metropolitan and regional events for the completion of planning and required deliverables as part of the KPIs associated with the position

  • Strong Computer skills including Word and Excel.
